Project History

In December 2023, we embarked on a mission to rural Mexico, where we undertook a remarkable journey of service. Our team constructed seven homes and distributed over 5,400 pounds of clothing and shoes across five wards and branches. Additionally, we provided 350 backpacks filled with essential school supplies, reaching communities where Mayan is the primary language and Spanish is secondary. These remote villages often go unnoticed, but Service Legacy Foundation is committed to reaching the most marginalized populations, ensuring they receive the support they deserve.

In our efforts, we also delivered over 300 pounds of Christmas candy and presents, bringing joy to many who experienced their first-ever Christmas gift. We focus on assisting individuals who are already giving back to their communities through various roles in religious organizations. These dedicated individuals serve selflessly as teachers, counselors, branch presidents, and more, embodying the spirit of ‘Paying it Forward’ in their everyday lives.

What sets us apart is our commitment to transparency and efficiency. Unlike many organizations, 100% of donations to Service Legacy Foundation directly fund materials like blocks, sand, and gravel for home construction. Every team member covers their own expenses, ensuring that every cent donated goes toward our projects. From gathering supplies to logistical planning, our dedicated volunteers handle every aspect of our operations, ensuring maximum impact for every dollar donated.

We are always seeking individuals passionate about making a difference to contribute backpacks, school supplies, shoes, clothing, or financial support. As an official 501(c)(3) foundation with its own tax ID number, we provide a transparent platform for donors to contribute to meaningful change through their Donor Advised Funds
